Yes, we accept annual pre-payments.

Yes. Billing for the first month is currently prorated. Monthly charges following the first month are billed at the start of each calendar month.

General

Issues related to account and personal information.

Every new user needs to verify their account via email. Sometimes, the email might be blocked by the user's email service or sent to the spam folder. If you haven't received the verification email, please contact our support team so we can verify your account directly.

Please send an email to our support team with a description or screenshot of the relevant records. If it contains any sensitive or personally identifiable information, we will immediately forward your deletion request to our abuse team.

Yes, we currently accept Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

The time zone for our data output is the UTC time zone.

Search

Issues related to search data.

Except for historical data and Global probe data, other data is fetched in real-time (and may include some historical data as needed).

It might be that the website has blocked the IP of our retrieval servers. We randomly use our retrieval servers, so we suggest you try again.

Currently, we do not offer bulk downloads of search data. The only way to access the search data is through our website, API, or SecuritySurface™.

Scan

Issues related to scanning.

You can have up to 5 scanning tasks simultaneously.

Yes, you can find them in the list of all vulnerabilities.

You can contact our support team and inform us of your domain name. We will immediately add your domain to the blacklist.

No, user data is encrypted with the user's password using two-way encryption. Without the password, we cannot access user data. You can report your website to our support team and have it added to the blacklist.

Hugo Script

Issues related to hugo script.

Yes, it is a scripting language developed by the SecuritySurface team. It is specifically designed for data search, website scanning, data mining, etc. It also has its own development tool, Hugo Script Studio, which is integrated into SecuritySurface. You can use them conveniently.

You can run it directly in Hugo Script Studio or generate a standalone application to run it.

API

Issues related to api.

You can save data from the API response, or use the Hugo Script in SecuritySurface to save data directly to your local system.

At this time JSON is the only available output format for the API.

Yes! Sign up for a free account to test the functionality of our API.

If you exceed the quota and attempt to make an API call, you will receive a "status":"ss_failed" error and be prompted to upgrade your plan.

For the same account, we allow only one API KEY. You can find it in the user settings options.

Yes, you can regenerate the API KEY in the user settings options.

We do not limit your rate (except for the global probe, which is once per second and cannot be increased). Our data search is based on real-time data, which depends on the response speed of the website you are searching.

Yes; you will need to proxy it from the server-side first, otherwise API credentials would be exposed on the client-side.

You can see your Monthly quota, Remaining credits, your plan, and the plan expiration date in the Quotas menu under user settings.

Technical

Issues related to Technical.

You can use the "realip" menu in our search feature, which will attempt to find the real IP of a website from its domain name. However, due to various complex factors, this is not guaranteed to succeed 100% of the time. If the lookup fails, we will list the website's CDN IP for you.

Yes, we do. ASN information is currently available on SurfaceSurface.

SOA email is the email address of the administrator responsible for a DNS zone.

A CNAME record, or Canonical Name record, is a DNS record that maps an alias domain name to a true or canonical domain name. For example, a CNAME record can map the web address www.securitysurface.com to the actual DNS records for securitysurface.com.
